NBA basketball is one of the most exciting spectator’s sports in the world. That much is for sure. It features world-class athletes competing against each other at the highest level, and when you put that altogether, there is little doubt that there will be many great plays to watch. Whether it is exceptional ball-handling, unbelievable blocked shots or slick passing, there is indeed a lot to enjoy when watching an NBA game.

But arguably the most exciting play in NBA basketball is the buzzer-beating shot. A shot that is taken when the clock is winding down and the game is on the line. Many times these shots are taken from way beyond the length of a typical shot and sometimes even from beyond half court. Although the odds of making these shots are not very good, it’s the last chance the team has to win the game. So they let it go and hope for the best.
